This
is the show that everyone is talking about! Michael Aloi brings a
special magic to each appearance. It is rare today to see a
performer with the enthusiasm and energy that Michael Aloi displays at every
show. He has been referred to as the modern day "Pied
Piper" in reference to the flocks of children that follow him
around during his concerts while he moves freely about singing and
playing his guitar with a complete wireless PA hookup.
Having
been in music for over 12 years as a Pop performer, Michael turned to children's
music and since then, there has been no looking back. Each of his
public concerts have experienced record crowds. Michael's album on
the KidsWorld label entitled "Michael Aloi has Ants in His
Pants" has received tremendous accolades and he has also released a
full length Video entitled "Michael Aloi in Concert with Sandy the
R&R Shark". He has appeared in concert with many children's
entertainers including Bob McGrath of Sesame St., Raffi and Rockapella
of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego TV Show. He has performed solo
shows at many distinguished venues including the famed Museum of Modern
Art in New York City. He has also appeared on Good Day NY on the Fox TV
Network
His
songs range from children's classics like "Down by the Bay" ,
"If all the
Raindrops" and "On top of Spaghetti" to Pop Standards like "Do Wha
Diddy" and "Rockin Robin" as well as many songs from
Raffi, The elephant Show, Wee Sing and Gullah Gullah Island. In
addition the show features many original songs including "Ants in
your Pants", "The Erkle" and "Put on Your Clown
Face" featured in Michael's Albums and Video.
Michael
describes his greatest joy in music is the satisfaction he gets when he
sees a young child smiling, dancing and shaking to the music at his
shows. He truly strives to get everyone involved including the parents
to create a real family show. By incorporating many of the
audience's names into the songs and stressing audience participation
each show has a unique personal atmosphere. "He truly
loves what he does and the spirit is contagious!!!!" (Gannett
Newspapers)
His
special sidekick at many of his shows is an 8 1/2 foot shark....Sandy
the Rock and Roll Shark...that is. This loveable character is
bright blue with yellow curls and Red Sunglasses... And he can
Rock! He has been featured on TV on shows including Good Day NY
and he is a delight for Children and Kids at Heart!
